I "googled" the name Roman Nose with trading post and found there was a Chief Roman Nose who led 300 Cheyenne on a raid. Website is: klesinger.com/jbp/hunt.html

Roman Nose (aka Hump Nose) was a Northern Cheyenne. He died at the Battle of Little Bighorn.

Thanks everyone! I keep thinking maybe some memory from childhood, will give me a clue about this necklace artifact. I should have paid more attention my my elders...

At the bottom of this it states this - Lovejoy remarked that in the 1930's he was working for 25 cents an hour a slightly different wage from what is paid today. Now lets look at this 25 cents per hour, on back then a candy bar say a Snickers bar cost 5 cents and it was huge then Ok , that lets you buy 5 of them Ok. Now at the lowest wage now is what 5.25 I think ? anyway that same snickers bar is smaller now and cost a 1 dollar and say 7 cents tax that allows us to buy 5 bars and we have a penny to spend. LOL has it change any ? not in my book lol..
