In re. to Louisa collins, i did find out that she was the daughter of William collins and Wikohdiwin aka "Transparent woman".her mother was the daughter of chief Pteyuyeani 'Don't Eat buffalo meat'. William was the son Robert Dickson and Totowin.

Louisa married blue Cloud in 1865. their children were William Bean born 1866,alma Bean born 1868,, married first toto John Greycane,then tojoseph fleury, and susan Bean born in 1872.
Blue Cloud and Louisa wereseparated in18, and he took Mary Arm aka itewastewin as his second wife. they had six children but only two survived to adulthood: mary Bean aka Anpetuwastewin marriedwillie Zephier, and his last son also named William G. Bean, aka Hoksina Waste / Pretty Boy attended the Haskell Indian School in Lawrence kansas.

the three William Beans that are on the 1880 Yankton, andUS Censuses were william Bean Sr.(blue Cloud, his last son William G. Bean, and his second son who was living with their mother Louisa(Dickson) Collins along with his sisters, and John Collins' daughter Julia Collins, whom he had with Mary DeLodge(a Ponca).
I did make a terrible mistake in re. to whom Louisa's father was. My thanks to Alberta who kindly sent me a copy of the reference. Whe I compared the information in it with my notes that I had copied from that website last year, they matched to a tee.

I have some info --found from a google search on Colonel Robert Dickson who was married to Helen Elizabeth Totowin Red Thunder ... they had 4 children.
William Dickson
Helen Ellen Dickson married Joseph R. Brown and then divorced him and married Moses Arconge.
Thomas Dickson 1812-1833
Marie/Mary Dickson married Henry Aunge also spelled Aungie. *children married VanMeter, Bentley, Oakes, Rev. Daniel Renville, Campbell, Zephier.


I am looking for info on Justine LaFromboise, daughter of Joseph LaFromboise and Jane Dickson.
On a 1850 Census in Minnesota. It shows Joseph LaFromboise age 46, married to Jane age 30, children: Alexis LaFromboise age 10, Julia Ann age 8, William age 2 and Justine age 1.
Justine was born 10-10-1849 and died 06-04-1922. They had Richard, Mabel, Arthur, Julia, Abbie, James, Wilbur and Agnes according to a 1900 census in Minnesota.
Many of these people are enrolled at the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.

On my family tree, I have Mary, the granddaughter of Robert and Ellen Dickson, married to William Bean Sr. I have no Louisa as a Dickson child. At least she is not on the 1924 Dickson family tree.

I have been interested in the Picotte family because one of my grandmother's was a Picotte but she carried the name of her step-father though later she (Scar Arm) married a Traversie.

Charles, Scar Arm and two sisters (married names Ruelo/Rulo and Bedaud) received land via the unpopular 1858 Yankton treaty. They were the first and older sisters of Charles.

I can see that you were looking over the Picotte family tree.
To clarify: Wicincana was not related to Hazawin or Wikosiyata (as stated on that family tree); therefore Hazawin could not be the daughter of Wousinawaste since he was the brother of Forked Tooth who was the father of Wicincana who was the wife of Paul Picotte.

As far as the Picotte line is concerned, I have a Susan Picotte (b. 1848) w/o Moises Vandall I cannot account for, nor suppose sons of Honore named Joseph and Honore/Henry and a Emily Picotte (1842)w/o H. J. Vandall.

Van Meter and Mary Aungie ancestry my Great grandmother was Susan Oakes Mack born 1881 and lived near Fort Pierre along Bad River (I think! that is where) but my grandmother Gloria Garcia Mack still living grew up on the Cheyenne River Agency. Thankyou for the excellent tree! I see from your tree you show Helen Totowin who married Robert Dickson was actually the daughter of Chief Wanoti and the sister of Red Thunder I. There has always been some confusion whether she was Red Thunder I's sister or daughter? I am a direct descendant of Totowin thru Dickson/Ange/Van Meter/Oakes/Mack. Any further info on the Ange side earlier than Augustine?
