fancy1 what has me puzzled, and that is why I made the statement re. John Cloud, is that people are looking for John B. Cloud, And I do have some census data on John B. Cloud, who lived in Moody county,Dak. Terr. and then in Flandreau,Moody County,SD.
and yes you are correct, the superintendent's report mentions a son of Henry St. cloud's, Hapan, who died @ 30 years before the Probate hearings were held on Iron Elk. the deceased son, Hapan was survived by a son, Sam St. Cloud, and his whereabouts were not known at the time of the hearings.

John B. Cloud information can be found in Montana, Minnesota, and South Dakota. John B. Cloud aka Mahpiyasunka was at Flandreau and his entire family was listed on the enrollment at one time. Relatives of John B. are on this website and can fill you in if you want more details. I believe he was born in 1849 and died in 1946.

I have Henry married to a Otihiyayewin/Sarah. This is just listed on a family tree. I do not have any supporting documentation. Hopefully the name will help you. It also lists another child of Henry and Sarah's and that is Mary (Hupahusnasnawin).

Re. Gust St. Cloud, he was born in Minnesota, anddied in S. Dakota. His parents were Sarah, as we already know and his father was called "Frenchie"-a French Trader from St. Paul. gust was married twice: first to Mary Rupayusnasnawin and they were wed at New Ulm, Minn. before 1862. Mary's sister was married to Charley Minnetonka, and they hda a daughter, Winona Minitonka aka Judith Wakeman. Gust's second spouse was Julia Rogers. Good job Hermin, just a minor correction. Mary was Gus' second wife. wazi
