I have yet to find him. I think he is in Santee, but I don't know if he died there or went back to Minnesota or Flandreau or Sisseton. I am finally able to start looking at him and his children. I am wondering currently if he is also the father to Sbuwin, the mother of Isaac, Louisa, and John Tuttle. Maggie Tuttle-Trudell (Wicinyan) has put me going in two directions. She is either the sister to Oyeicasnamani or Sbuwin. However Ahewin's probate records only mentions living relatives wazi

I am still looking. Right now I know he has two daughter's Wicinyan (Maggie) Tuttle-Trudell and Itekagewin (I have now English name for her) Trudell (again as far as I know they both were married to Frank Trudell. Itekagewin beingin married to Frank first then Wicinyan. Not sure if Frank was forced to choose a wife, like many of the other men, or what happened. I am still looking and will post any new information I may find on him. I did however find Tunkannahowin listed by herself on the 1849 Mdewakanton census with 2 children. She is also listed on the Mdewakanton and Wahpekute annuity rolls of 1849-1860 I did not see Tateibobdu, but then again some of the information is hard to read (I really do need to get me a magnifying glass ). wazi

wzai maybe this is out in left field, but is it possible that Lizzie Kage may have been a daughter of Itekagewin and just shortened her name to Kage? I know that Ite means face, and win means woman in dakota. I am having trouble with the kage though. The dictionary keeps coming up with no definition.

wazi I would appreciate it if you would look at those Mdewakanton censuses you have for the name Tateiciyapewin. It appears it is the other indian name for Julia Oldman.
