I found the1880 Census for Moody, Dakota Terr., which lists: John Wilson Age 40,Minn,parents born Minn spouse: Sarah Wilson Age 43 born Minn, parents both born Minn. Askins?(sp) Age 16 born Minn _____________________________ the 1870 Us Census for Brookings,Elk Point, Dakota lists; John Wilson Age 41 aka Tatecanhpi, born Minn wife Sarah aka Canhdeskhawin Age 42,born Minn daughter Julia Wilson, Age 15 born Minn. ___________________ What we have is more than one Julia Wilson. There is the one that married James C. Paypay. There is the one who married Rev. Joseph Rogers, and the one who married Titus Paska White. The Julia Wilson , aka Ojanjanwin, dau. of John Wilson aka Tatecanhpi, was married to Rev. Joseph Rogers @1876 by Ceremony. She died May 23,1938 at the age of 84. Joseph then married Esther Greeley Dec. 25, 1938 by ceremony. This leaves the other Julia Wilson, who married Titus Paska white. __________________ I can't find anything on Elizabeth White other than her birth Record at Ancestry.com

So Elen's maiden name must be White. As Thanks so much, the information you show is stuff I really should have reviewed, so it is very appreciated. I have known her to be called Ella and also Ada. Interesting... She must have worked heavily with the church in Long Hollow and is referred to as Ada in one issue of the Word Carrier.

This is another family that I found an incredible picture of in the NARA Kansas City. The picture was taken in 1930 or so and of the family outside of their home. The pictures were taken of the CCC projects but contain some very good photos of families and homes that are no longer here.

Hey-- I have a copy of Job Nanayopte's sister's probate. It appears that Robert Hakewaste and Job Nanayopte are both candidates for the paternity of Jacob Wilson, my grandfather. The paternity hearing that I just spoke lists him as Jacob's father, but the probate records at Winnebago list Robert Haskewaste as his father, as does the 1885 Santee role. Thank you for the mention of other Wilson's. I've had trouble connecting Jacob with Charles, etc. tokakte

From what I have learned on the family of Ninayopte, I would agree with you on Jacob Wilson.
Do you have any idea of who the Julia Wilson who married Paska or Titus White, is? Who are her relatives? One elder in the family said that they didnt know, but when I showed them the death certificate of Ella King with mother Julia Wilson, said that they had known the Wilson's were their relatives, they just didnt know how. They mentioned Leo Wilson, isnt that the family that search for the Julia Wilson, d/o George Paypay? I wound up looking at the John and Sarah Wilson of Flandrue as the dates seemed right for parantage of Julia Wilson White. She being born in 1872 or so, could be the daughter of a woman born in 1855...
