This info is from the book "Old Betts". It's a copy of Old Betsey's Genealogy from the back of the book. It says...
Kakpankpanwin (Woman who Beats into Fine Pieces), or Lizzie Culbertson, m. Alexnder Culbertson, b.1809 d. after 1873: daughter: Margaret.
It has Lizzie's father as Rattler(Kahdaya), or Causes to Rattle, d. 1850 m. Hazatonwin (Huckleberry Village Woman), or Aunt Judy. Lizzie's mother.
I put this away thinking that Margaret and Julia were half sister's and Mahpiyahezewin was Julia's mother. So it was no help to me...lol. You can email me and I will send you a copy of what I have.

That's interesting. We have in our family history that Lizzie married David Eastman, child Agnes Eastman. I will keep looking.
Also will look for Old Bets. Thanks.

I have a family tree that has a David Weston (Owancaduta) first wife unknown, second Margaret M. Culbertson, sorry it does not list her parents. It lists there children as Edward Weston, Lizzie (Weston) Culbertson and Amos Weston.
Lizzie and her spouse David Eastman had one child Agnes V. Eastman.

I AM CONFUSED! Our family tree info had Margaret's mother as Mahpiyahezewin, now in the book Old Betsey it states Marg. mother as
Kakpankpanwin, English name Lizzie Culbertson. A guy named Brill did the research for the tribal records in Flandreau. The author
of Old Bets is Mark Diedrich. Who do I believe?!

Debbie, I have a (Mahpiyahezewin - Mary) married to a James Chapman (Yusana)he was born @ 1842, Son of Caskeptecedan (Bluecloud man) b. @ 1800 and Canpaahdiwin, their
children: Mary Chapman married to Joseph Goodteacher, William Chapman married to Mary Hoffman 2nd wife Agnes Goodteacher, and Nancy Chapman married to Andrew McBride.
Mary and Joseph's children: Oscar Gordon Goodteacher (my Grandfather) and Levi Goodteacher
Wm and Mary's children: Mary A Chapman Bennett andDelia G Chapman Medina Shaw
Wm and Agnes's children: Alfred Ben Chapman and Francis W. Chapman
Nancy and Andrew's children: Lizzie McBride and Emma McBride Zephier
This information is from a chart sent to me by a family member, so I don't know the documentation behind it.
