Shucks, I even held my opinions in check on several occasions. I am always surprised and astonished that more people do not hold my views on anything!
Anyway, I received some sad news: My first cousin Doug Kitto (Mazaadidi, Joseph Kitto, Herbert Kitto, Doug) entered the spirit world on Friday.
Quoting Cousin Reuben:
Yes. His son, Todd, called and said he passed away Friday night. (I believe in Minneapolis. CMK) They had a private family viewing today. Doug will then be cremated. The memorial at 3 PM Saturday allows time for travel.
Doug always brought and cooked Bratwursts at the Mazaadidi Reunions in Mankato and Santee so I am expecting that Todd will follow his Dad's footsteps in that regard. Todd said his dad didn't want everyone standing around with long faces. My sentiments too. They rented a VFW hall and will have lots of food and opportunity for all to iapi ota. (Now that is my cousin! Exactly what I wish to occur when I travel home.)
Iva Crawford told me that her late brother, Herbert's (Mazaadidi, Joseph Kitto, Jeanette (Kitto) Crawford, Herbert Crawford) daughter, Dinelle, is doing the service.
Tony and Margaret Bisson were in Mesa (thawing) and are enroute home. I'm going up tomorrow with one of my granddaughters, Ramona. We'll be at my daughter Ramona's for a week.
Rick Schumacher told me his mother, Marcella Kitto Schumacher (Mazaadidi, Joseph Kitto, Bell Kitto, Howard Kitto, Marcella) is in the hospital in Flandreau. Has been on dialysis daily for the last few years but he says the dialysis is no longer working. They feel the prognosis is not good.
Sorry to bring bad news.
Reuben
