Why are we editing posts? I think if we are responding we should simply click on respond or quote. I am uncomfortable with seeing my posts altered. wazi

wazi, i did not know that anyone is editing. i only correct mine when i reread them and see i made a little goof. if i ever would edit i would contact the person first and get permission. i hope everyone does this because editting could definitely cause a problem.

Wazi: thanks for alerting us to this problem. I did edit a post re. Native Family Resource Center, in the information section, but only to provide the latest re. it's status(it is defunct).
if i find some updated information or need to correct something in oneof my posts, i go back and edit it.

I understand the modifying, which is totally different from going into another person's post and editing or modifying that post.

Which is okay to edit your own work. I am just saying that I am seeing post modified by other users/staffers. Maybe that is okay for some, but I don't like my posts to be modified. I think that the respond or qoute options are the best. Even if you see an error or would like to shorten up the message content. I don't think I am causing a fuss, just trying to clear something up between the staff. wazi Ok people I say this on Editing, it a big thing in the computer world and I still triing to understand what you all here ARE TALKING ABOUT ? Well if you see this then Post it so we can see what you are talking about then. That isnt hard to do.. And we can talk about it then. To be safe about this as not to chase off good people...if there is some thing wrong with a post send a PM to that poster informing them of the problem with their post...just so we are cool

I can go back through the threads and find all of the accounts if necessary. I agree with you Jamie about a PM, but I figured this thread would suffice and bring attention to the staff so that we are not editing or modifying, it could all be a mistake or we didn't know we were doing that, either way we need to not be doing that.
Have a good freezing day.
