My Dakota Dictionarys have been loaned out for the last few weeks so I am not 100% sure but Tate - Wind Bombdu - Blows or Blower
I have seen the Flute name attached to Tatebombdu.
Tateibomdu was pardoned April 30th 1864 by Lincoln and released from Davenport shortly after.

I see that (Tateibomdu) aka Tatebobdu is on the 1869 Mdwakanton/Santee Census my question is where did he go from there or did he stay there. Where was this Census taken. Is he on the 1886 or 1889 Census also? Tatebobdu is Maggie Tuttle's Father, Maggie is my grandma Florence Trudell's Grandma. I'm trying to find a link.... If you haven't guessed already I'm brand new to who is who...... Need any info I can get..... Please Help.

I tracked Tateimbobdu but lost track of him after the Santee 1875 Census. at that time he was70 years old and listed with a woman and a child. He had at least two wives.Maggie Tuttle's mother was Tuncannahonwin(sp). Maggie had a half sisrter Martha Itekagewin by a different mother(I don't know who she was).I know that Martha was married at least three or four times: to a ? Heart, then to Rising cloud, and she married Eli Chinn. I have a note in one or my notebooks, that she also wasmarried to Frank Trudell,Jr., before Maggie Tuttle married him. Unfortunately, I don't have a reference for this inlast bit of information.
Tateimbobdu was a cousin to Hupa, the daughter of Tawotaheduta. Tateimbobdu is not on either the 1886 or 1889 Mdewakanton Cesuses for Minnesota.
However, Frank Trudell Sr, served in the Civil war, and his wiidow, Mary Iciyapewin was awarded a widow's pension.Maggie Trudell was married to Frank Trudell,Jr.
