i hhave been told that there were 4 Mary Paypays, but I am unsure of the credibility of my source. I have only found two Mary Paypays,: The daughter of James Paypay, and she died young. The wife of George paypay who died 1889.
If you can provide confirmatory evidence for your alleged Mary Paypay, that would make 3 Mary PayPays.
Until then, as far as I have been able to determine, there were only two Mary Paypays, and the second one is the one on the Mdewakanton Censuses, and it is not your alleged MaryPaypay.

atrevino and Tamara you both need a ton of help. You not only have her name wrong, atrevino, but you got her husband's Indian name wrong as well. atrevino what is your source of information for these names? You aren't kidding on that one. I DO need a ton of help, since what I have been able to see by way of documentation on this line is only as far back as Julia Wilson. This is not my family however, my stepfather's line, I just got interested in the line because of a project on Indian Scout Sgt James King. I am going to take your observation as good advice to start back where I know something and recheck the contacts I have in the family and see if they were able to gather some information. I would be satisfied for the time being able to verify the siblings of the Wilson family. This might be a dumb question but, does Rosebud District refer to all Dakota and Lakota or what? Tamara

tamara: I honestly don't don't know about that. the only thing I have learned as that , and I may be wrong , @the time of President Grant's term of presidency, the reservations , at leastsome of them were reorganized into districts, or the districts were reorganized.

Oh dear. Tamara, I was refering to Trevino to provide documentation re. the information he/she posted re. Mary Paypay. Please accept my apology. I do though agree with yooou, that this is another Julia White, you are looking for. Julia Wilson that married David Wilson died in 1895 leaving the widower, and two sons. and Tamara, there is no such thing as a dumb question. theonly dumb question, is one that isn't asked.

hey, no apology needed to me as it caused me to look at what I had been going to tell other members of the family here, and now I will proced with caution, so a good thing. I think ATrevino has good information with names a little spelled wrong or mixed up a bit but probably from a valid source, I just need to verify or see it if before I can use it or refer to it in a positive manner. Now I will state that "these are the things I know and these are the things I have not been able to verify". One thing you always keep on track on the board regarding information, the need to qualify ones resource. I appreciate the direction and reminder. I am going to continue to try to sort out the family and do believe that Mary PayPay is the mother of the Wilson kids as it would seem that other descendants refer to her as well. I just need to verify something before I can take it as fact. I have another lead on getting to see a probate with that information so I will post it if I do.

Keep in mind, my Julia is White by marriage to Paska and Wilson as a maiden. it is she and her brothers that are the children of Mary PayPay and her brothers wife Julia that is said to be the possible daughter of George, not Mary. If I am off in this, I would love love love to have someone correct me!!! Please Please! lol
