I have a question on this record. The witnesses on this document are Peter Provencalle and David? Fairbault. Provencalles are my family line going back to Louis Provencalle the father of Joseph Provencalle to my ancestor Peter Provencalle/Leblanc Sr. As this is signed in 1890 this would have to be the father of Pete Leblanc Jr born in 1899 or 1900. I am wondering if any further research is known on this document and Peter Provencalle who signs it. does anyone know of any other person this could be? thanks Tamara

This document is dated 1890, because that is when Mary Iciyapewin recieved her widow's pension for Francis Trudell's military service. The original marriage took place in 1841, and witnessed by these men at that time. In 1890 Mary had to send off for a copy of her marriage record in order to receive the pension. The priest just wrote down what was in Father Ravoux's book from 1841. Does that make sense?

I think I understand now, the peter provencalle in 1841 at the time of the marriage would not be the one I am looking for as being the sr to the peter provencalle/leblanc in 1900
