Ifinally got the book about Brown Earth called ' for God & Land' Brown Earth A Dakota Indian Community 1876-1892 written by Elwin E Rogers. Found it for 5 dollars at the Milbank SD Library

Haven't read all of it yet but thought these pages from the back would maybe be of interest to somebody.
I hope I can load these right. If not I may have to try to post again.

I need to add this so as not to get confused by the dates listed. The code date listed after a name corresponds to the paper "Iape Oyate". At the top of Appendix D it explains the source code such as code number 5/77/19 relates to the May issue in 1877 page 19.

In reading the book about Brown Earth Church it mentions a hint of trouble between Goodwill and Brown Earth. I just found a story from the Minnesota Historical Society's magazine index that is about Moses Adams and his time as an agent at Goodwill. Very interesting story about the difference of opinion between Moses Adams and Gabriel Renville.
