Hi I just joined this group forum, and I know this is a very old post but does anyone know where I can see these images of this book or get a copy of this book (The Teepee and The Church)? I am looking for my great-great grandparents Charles LaRondeau (Rondeau) and a Yankton Sioux woman named Margarette who were married. They had two children Antoinette (b 1853) and Baptiste (b 1854). The children's names are listed on the Nemaha Half Breed Reserve list of claimants. I though I may be able to find a record of the marriage in the book. Charles had land in Sioux City Iowa 1856. Thanks Maydean Fetty Tilton

mdfetty: Please contact vicky at Jandv@inebraska,com she has the copyright to the book, and may be able to help you.
In the meantime, i will see what I can find for you. Were the children born in Minnesota or elsewhere?

ahhhh, you are right about this...it is a 404 page not found...this is done for a reason, not by me but by the site it self...they made this appear to be as if it was an error...it is a block on the server...not my doing...it was removed.

I recently visited the SDHS and was able to copy 25% of this publication. If you are able to visit the Nebraska Historical Society in Lincoln, you can copy the whole publication for yourself. They will not copy it for you due to copy write responsibilities but if you copy it then it is your responsibility.
I was able to get the majority of the publication and did not copy the full 25%. I plan on going to Lincoln and copy the whole thing myself for research purposes.
