LIST OF SISSETON-WAHPETON INDIAN SCOUTS
Paid Under the Act of March 3, 1891

We the bands of families and individuals
without families, member of the Sisseton Wahpteon, mdewakaton, and Wahpakoota Bands of Sioux Indians
who were enrolled and entered into the military service
of the United States, and served in suppressing what is
known as the "Dakota Outbreak of 1862" or in the War
of the Rebellion, and the members of the families and descendants now living, of such scouts and soldiers as
are dead who are not parties to teh agreement with the
Sisseton and Wahpeton Indians, of March 3, 1891, hereby acknowledge the reciept from S.H. Elrod, Special Agent,
in the sum severally affixed to our names, of the total sum
of $124,370.00 provided by the
Act of March, 3, 1891- 26 Stats. 1035
