His father was: Isaac "Tasunkewanjina" Feather Birth abt 1848 in South Dakota Death ? Isaac's father was a Feather of the Yankton Sioux and his mother was unknown win of the Wahpekute tribe.
Amos's mother was: Ellen "Tunkanmaniwin" Feather a Santee Sioux Birth abt 1853 Death ?

Was he married? have Children? I'm still trying to figure out how I inherited land from him and another person.

No he did not have a family as far as I know. He died very young, 18 yrs. He may have had Indian patent land and that is how you inherited his land.

I have a copy of lucy chinn hillers probate and in it it says that she has an inherited interest in an allotment. YS 1109 Amos Feather thru YS 583 Isaac Feather what I am trying to figure out is how and why I guess. Any help to solve the mystery would be greatly appreciated. Lucy Chinn's mother Mary Oyatewanyakapiwin was born about 1858 died about 1902. Thats all the information I have on her. If anyone has any information on her please let me know. I was kind of thinking that maybe Amos and Isaac Feather might have come from lucy's mother's side?
