Isaac & John Sr Feather - Brothers?

Does anyone know if Isaac "Tasunkewanjina" Feather b. abt 1848 is related to John "Sunkediska" Feather b. abt 1852?

Isaac's mother was Oyateinapewin and unknown.Isaac was born in South Dakota, according to ancestry.com
Don't know who John Feather's parents were.

Thanks Hermin. I think I should give a little more info on these Feathers:

Isaac "Tasunkewanjina" Feather b. 1848; married Ellen "Tunkanmaniwin", b. 1853; they had Louis "Louie", b. 1867;

John "Sunkdiska" Feather, b. 1852 (according to 1900 US Fed Ind Pop Census, mother was Wahpekute, father was Yankton); married Nancy LaPointe (parents unknown--do you have info on her? 1900 US Fed Ind Pop Census--Father b. in France; Mother-Yankton Sioux---Pierre LaPointe maybe brother) b. 1850. They had several children.

Thank you for any add'l info on these Feathers.

isaac's uncle was Wicahcatanka(father of James K. Wells).
Isaac als had a son amos born @1892. with first spouse Ellen.
with 2nd spouse mary Bird(wed 25 Feb. 1925 Bon Homme,Chas Mix,SD)they had a dau.(n/A) nd she had a son named silas Feather.

he and family moved to the Hill church in 1877.

I am looking for information on a Amos Feather. I don't have any information on him. The only thing I do know is that I get a paper in the mail telling me its time to sign it so the land can be leased. Its really not much land but the name is Amos Feather and a Martha Makabu. I dont have any information on them from my mothers family tree. The only connection I can maybe see is from Lucy Chinn. Maybe that's her mothers father? Lucy Chinn was married to George and Charles Hillers. Her d.o.b is abt 1884 and she passed apr. 5 1954. I don't really have much information on her at all. I tried looking on ancestry.com but it was a dead end for me. If anyone has any info that may pertain to them please let me know. I feel like I'm running in circles. Thank you.

valari: Amos feather was the son of Isaac Feather and Ellen Tunkanmaniwin. he was born @1892.he was a Yankton Sioux.i don't have access to ancestry.com, and the LDS Archives only show him living in Wahehe, Chas Mix, SD in 1910.he may have married into the chin family.No one knows who Eli's parents were.

Martha Makabu is her married name. her maiden name was Itekagewin. she was married several(at least 5 times)in her lifetime. Daniel Makabu was her third or fourth spouse. her last spouse was Eli Chinn, father of Lucie Chinn.

Lucy was a twin. her twin was Nancy Chinn. so twins run in your family. Eli fathered a set of twin boys also.
it sounds like you inherited from Eli chin's estate.

That is really interesting. For awhile I had ancestry.com membership but I cancelled it because I didn't have enough time and this lady had Eli Chinn on the tree she was working on and hopefully I can find her on my messages and maybe she can give me the information on Eli.

I looked at my notes I took from ancestry.com and there was a person on ancestry.com that had a Iyapaha or Little Feather who born in 1818 Dakota as Eli's father. But I have not been able to confirm this.

I read further down and a Oinapewastewin or Everlasting Good Woman born in 1820 was listed as Eli's mother again I have not been able to confirm this. Maybe you might have some information in your records about them? I only have records concerning who's on my tree unfortunately.

valeri: I have nothing at all on the people alleged to be Eli Chinn's parents.
LDS Archives has the 1910US Census which lists Amos Feather still alive in 1910,living in Wahehe,Chas Mix,SD.
I will do some more checking and see if I can find something on Amos feather.
