I am seeking info on my Grandmother Helena Francis Vacknitz nee Bullard, daughter of Elizabeth Gerry Bullard and Frank Bullard.
Helena was born on the Rosebud Reservation March 22, 1912.
I think her grandmother was Elizabeth Smith.
Somewhere the Red Kettle sisters figure in.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.

hardtarget: here is what i was able to find so far:
helena's parents were Lizzie ?(b.1888) and Frank Bullard(b.11 Dec. 1876 Pine Ridge,shannon,SD).
Helena's sibs were mary born 1920, and Martha b. 1913
Frank's parents were: Walter Scott Bullard b. 21 Nov. 1846 Pennington,Hillsborough,NH; died 1889 Colorado. Mother was Elizabeth Ann Gerry b.24 Oct. 1847 Wy, died 1929 So. Dakota.
Elizabeth's parents were Eldridge Gerry b. 1818 Mass., died 1875 Kersey,Weld,CO. and
Mollie Red Kettle b. 1828, died 1913 Batesland,Shannon,SD.
Mollie's parents were Joe Red Kettle and Iron Road.
Mollie and Eldridge also had Henry, twins Emma Maria(1851 - 1910) andSeth(1852 - 1916), SallieSally(1853 -), and Sarah (1854 - ).
Eldridge was married at least to 3 other women:
Jenny Big Woman(Olgalala sioux). wed 1849. she was dau./o Chief Swift Bird. they had 13 children all told.
spouse 2 Millicent Swift bird(1852 - 1909). They had a son and a daughter.
spouse 3 Minerva Swift bird(1859 - 1882). They had 2 sons.
Elizabeth Ann gerry was first wed to Seth Ward ( born 1847 VA;died 1872 Evans,Weld,CO) on Oct. 15, 1866 Nebraska City,NE. His parents were Seth Edmund Ward(1820 - 1903) and Wasna, a Brule Sioux woman(b. 1820- d. 1860 Ft. Laramie,WY).
elizabeth Ann and Seth had a son and three daughters.
i couldn't find anything on Lizzie,wfe of Frank, as i don't know when she died.
will see what I can find on Helena.

I found some stuff for you.
i don't know where you got the middle name of Francis for Helena. Her middle name was Theresa.
she was born 22 mar. 1912,Rosebud Ind. Res.,SD, and
died 25 May, 2003,Kirkland,King,WA
Helena Francis and Ray Pinney had a child ,still living, but don't have any information on the child.
Twins run in his immediate family. In fact he is himself a twin.
His twin is his sister Helen Vacknitz:bth born 28 Jan. 1918 She died in 1996.
There is another set of twins, his youngest siblings: JeanLois and Jane Mae both born same date in 1933. Jane died in 1935, and jean died in 1981.
there were 13 children total.
their parents were:
Frederic Wilhelm Vacknitz, born 7 Dec. 1887 in Zardar,Russia. died 13 Feb. 1962,Settle, WA.; and Hannah Christina Haugen born 15 mar. 1895, alpena, SD.;she died 22 oct. 1980 Seattle,WA
they were wed 11 Nov. 1915 at Bridgewater,SD.
No infor on fathers parents.
Mother's parents were:
Sivert Olsen haugen b. 1861 Tr. Horsdaton,Norway; died 11 Sep.1937,SD; and wife no 1:Ingeberrg Wolland wed 14 june 1885 Mera Koenord-Trandelag,Norway. Sivert immigrated to US in 1881, and Ingeberg came over here Oct. 3, 1890. she died 17 June 1895 Beadle,SD.Couln't find a birthdate for Ingeberg,sorry. Hannah was the baby of the family of three girls. her sisters were Clara sophia(1887 -1970) and albertine Oline(1888- 1973).
Sivert's 2nd spouse was Fanny Cornelia Graves.they wed 17 july, 1891. They had Oliver John, Carl Adolph, Arthur, and Anna Haugen.
Albert Alfred enlisted for the draft in WWII at Seattle WA.on 21 Apr. 1942. he was single at the time.Occupation was listed as Farmer.
His rank was Private in the Warrant officer Branch.
Albert Alfred and Helena had 2 daughters, but no information on them.
