I have discovered in my husbands family tree a Sarah Goodknight, walked the Cherokee Trail, but I am not sure where to look for more information. Can any one give me direction for my search? Thank you, Debbie

bsds: if you are referring to the Trail of Tears, then first log in to www.accessgenealogy.com. and see what they have for cherokee Cnesuses. then log into www.rootsweb.com and look for the Multiple search engines link and select it. find the natove american search engine and plug in her name into the search engine. See what you come up with. if you don't get anything with her name as you gave it try sarah goodnight. ______________ Update. I got nothing fromthe two websites. You should start with your parents and work backwards on your family line(both sides) listing names of parents and vital dates, grandpatrets with vital information and so on. then see what documentation you have. then if you have a family research center run by latter day saints near you go there. You will get free access to their archives and on line as wellas ancestry Plus. Plug in the information you have and see what you get.

BSDS, Check with, I believe she still works there, a Sister Smith. She can help you with your search as she is part Cherokee and helps out in that department. Call her at the link below: lds.org/placestovisit/location/0,10634,1869-1-1-2,00.html
