eaglestarwoman: sorry but there are no records for a Pasie Brings Grass Woman at ancestry.com I have a Brings Grass woman born 1808 at Ft. Tecumseh,S.D. she married Joseph LeCompte at ft. Tecumseh @ Sept. 1829. No record of a Bull Ghost living on Crow Creek Reservation, who ws born 1872. The Catholic Inmmaculae Conception Mission and Boarding school- which are located in Stephan S.D. on the Crow Creek Ind. Reservation- were established in1886. The US govt. issued 160 acres of land to the mission and school. the villlage was named for Fr. Joseph stephan, dir. of bureau of Catholic Indian Missions. I would suggest you recheck your sources for this bull ghost you are seeking.

Re:Bessie Bull Ghost Bessie Bull Ghost is my grandmother. Mamie was actually Marie Antelope. My father was one of her brothers. His name is Benjamin Richard Antelope Sr. He is deceased. Did you want to know about Marie and Ben. Their other siblings did not survive childhood. I think there was about six children born to Bessie and Albert. marievr

Re: Bull Ghost If you read the accounts of Sitting Bull's death, you can find his name listed as one of the injured men. He survived the incident but in one account I believe he was listed as one of the killed. marievr

Sometimes more than one person can have the same name. Bull Ghost's name appears in the survey for Bullhead District, Standing Rock as the father of Bessie Bull Ghost under Albert Antelope. Bull Ghost's name appears in the U.S. Census for Standing Rock Reservation. Dates and locations can help to clarify identity.

Pazaakuwin was my paternal grandmother's 2x great grandmother. If Passie was born in 1808 and Joseph Lecompte was born in 1788 it seems somewhat unlikely that she would have been married to Bull Ghost first if he was born in 1935. Anyone have any further information. Also, I've seen reference of her father being Thunder Hawk and grandfather Chief One (Crow) Feather? I realize there were several generations of Crow Feathers and a number of Thunder Hawks across several bands which also makes the timeframes a little difficult to match and confirm.

Obviously Bull ghost DOB should read (circa) 1835 not 1935.
