it would help if you would provide some vital data on this woman. did you check the Archives and census records for those reservations on our website? Jimmy posted the report from the 1935 SDERA Survey for the cheyenne River Indian Res. and also Standing Rock recently.

lkk: You won't find anything on her there. I already checked. Ancestry does not have a Ruth Holy Bear in their Indian Census Schedules . I found one, possibly two women named Ruth Holy, at Standing Rock Ind. Reservation. if your friend has access to an LDS Fam. His. Center, she can access the Ancestry web site. the lDS also has the schedules .if she has access toa library with computers she can log in to ancestry for free also.
