I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to one of our Members and my sister, Poncalady; as she lost her husband last night. Please keep her in your thoughts and Prayers, as she was a devoted wife and one of the greatest caregivers in her husband's life.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. My husband passed peacefully and at home as he wanted. He was not a Native, but he had the heart of a Native. He loved that I got into geneaology and researched my Native roots.
He was the love of my life and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Poncalady
Please accept my sincerest sympathies for the loss of your beloved soul mate. I will not try to even imagine the thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing at this point. However, maybe your husband and my recently departed relative, may actually see each other on the journey through the threshold to the other side. It is unfortunate to lose anyone. It is sad to lose the love and the nuturing touch of those we love. But.......if we believe in the afterllife, and the fact that those that pass, walk the trail of those that have always walked the trail...........forward, with the consciousness of carrying forward their own knowledge and beliefs of what they might see as they walk forward into the eternal landscape of the spiritual existence. ............as humans, Christians, even traditionalists........we need to believe that our souls survive all that is......and that even those that have passed, can look and see, and give signs, to us, the earthly bound, to try to let us know about the right path or the right history of that that has gone before..... this is all I can say for now on respecting the memory of those that wait for us......... Poncalady........we pray for you.....and his soul ..... Your love for him will never die no matter what happens.....

I am sure that everyone here understands the loss of a loved one. We all extend our deepest sympathy for all of your family and friends. My one wish would be for your family to be able to forge an even stronger bond and continue onwards towards the future. Just remember that Oyate is also your family.
