Just started reading "Among the Sioux". On page 20 it mentions the place where Thomas Longley was buried. His sister Mary Riggs called it the "Oaks of weeping"-- three dwarf oaks on a small knoll.
By the way I had been searching for the book "among the Sioux" for a few months now and I am so glad that Hermin1 posted the info for it. I had been looking for anything about Quinn family and it supposedly has some on William Quinn. Thanks

Take a stroll over to Mr. Denney's Mdewakanton site and visit the section "Reading Room". There are hundreds of links to free books available for download there. Gotta love that free stuff!
