Good morning, First off, let me say how sad I was to learn that Mrs. Johnson passed away recently. South Dakota has lost an amazing historian. My condolences to all whose lives she touched. I have just received her series "Wagon Wheels: a collection of stories about people, places and events in northeastern South Dakota" through interlibrary loan. 3 of the 6 books have an index, so I can do look-ups in those if anyone would like me to. I will have them for 3 weeks. Give me a holler by PM please. If anyone is interested in seeing the complete set of 6 booklets, they can be ordered at your local library.

Jimmy, In the indexes I only find mention of Mrs. Louis Faribault on page 37 in Vol. 5. She made a beaded apron which Clifford Stavig wore for the Sisseton Golden Jubilee in 1942. Not exactly earth-shattering info! I'll keep an eye out for them though.

You are correct, it does not say when it was made, just that she made it. Also, the beaded apron was on display for the jubilee with some other antiques. My mistake. Sorry.

I have scanned a few pages from the first volume and will try to get more done as time permits. If anyone wants any of these, please PM me. Many of these are just a mention with not a lot of info involved, but it is such fun to see our ancestor's names in print. (I think so anyway :-)) These are the most interesting pages and the people/ places mentioned in each-
