Yellow Lodge:
I have some information on a branch of the Langers. My aunt married the descendant of Louis Langer by way Antoine Langer. Antoine's daughter Lumina was adopted by an Iron Leggins and moved this way to the Ft Peck Reservation. I remember this woman from when I was a little girl. She used to live next door to my grandma. Lumina was short and light complected, and if I remember right, she had light eyes.

The Langers changed their name from Longie (L' Ange Little Angle). The first Longie (Antone?) was a big red haired Frenchman. He lived a Bdeawokape now called Pleasant Lake north west of the rez Benson County, ND. They all lived on the "east end" of Spirit Lake in the area north of Warwick, ND. he married into the Tizaptanna band of Sisitunwans. There were three brothers originally. One is missing. One went to Spirit Lake, and the other went to the Turtle Mountain Chippewa rez. Possibly the father of the three bous had a trading post at Redwood, MN. (he is mentioned in the pictorial history of the Uprising mentioned in an earilier post by Vicky. If you require specific information I can ask the family here at SL. I hope this helps.
Have a great day, LouieG
