Yea, baklava! I'm in! Hey, I'm not so sure about David and Ruth being the parents of this Eugene. On the 1880 Fed. censuses I find- Mathew's Eugene in NE, age 24, married with 4 children, the oldest is 4. (Census is posted above) Eugene living with (son of) David and Ruth in NY, age 23, single. I think these are 2 different Eugenes.

This would be my choice for the parents of Eugene- William H. Bacon and Almira, NY, 1860 3 YO son Ira A E (Eugene) The math works on this one, too.

Wm. H and Almira live near Eugene in NE, 1880. In the account of William's death above, it states he moved his family to NE in 1872. Mathew, a death certificate or marriage record should clear this up for you right quick. :-)

More from Ben:
Yes. You are absolutely correct. She was a fine girl. A friend of mine when I was young. She lived with the Cunninghams and then married a dude from Verdigre. I am heading home for the weekend on Saturday. I am going to clean the graves and help Jeff paint the house. Later, Ben.
Her name: Wilma

Circa 1963-64. The house was located in the south end of town. I did not meet the parents, I remember the house was well kept and surrounded with flowers.

You're welcome to join the raiding party Mathew. Vicky is in charge of bailing us out if we get caught. She can bribe the sheriff with her baklava. sunshine will be the head scout, as she knows where the fruit tree orchard is, and when the fruit will be ripe for the taking. Hey Curtis, do you want to join the party?Dawn says she will be in charge of the cell phone to alert Vicky to start baking the bribe. You can be in charge of the getaway pickup truck. We each need to have a mask, , camouflage paint , and a guny sack for the "haul". the more in the party ,the merrier, the greater the"haul" and the bigger each one's share of the "haul". have I left out anything we need for our "Midnight Inventory"?
