I am seeking information on elizabeth aka Lizzie Brant.
She was married at least once , to tokocokaduta(he died @1864-1865 at Davenport).Was she married to one or more others?if so, who were they and when did they marry?
I need to know her parents' names if possible, did she have any children other than the ones she had with tokocokaduta?
I appreciate any information provided.

Hermin1, is this the same Lizzie Brant who appears on the SW Elrod Roll? She is listed alone, age 56? If so, I have nothing to add from my piles, besides what is posted by peacekeeper, wazi, dawn and Tamara etc. on this thread- oyate1.proboards58.com/index.cgi?board=exchange&action=display&thread=1503One of them may be able to help. Can you find her approx. date of death on the Sisseton censuses? Would she have a SD death certificate? |

De went by Mazatopawin, but not by the other name.ear vicky: thanks much for the link. i will see whatancestry has on her.
I forgot that she went by the other name. sneaky little old lady she was.

OOPS!! My mistake.
her name was Mniyokiyewin. On that 1900 Us Census, she hhas her Indian Name as Tatiyopa.
go figure>

here is what I found at Ancestry:
the 1900 Us census for lawrence, Roberts, SD lists Lizzie as Tatiyopa age, 58 yrs. old, born Apr. 1847 MN, add that to her other aliases.
Daughter and family also with her. ( corrected by Hermin)
Lizzie died 1 Februry ,1951 roberts county,SD.

all ancestry would give me on that 1900 census was a page that just listed her at the top as Mother-in-Law.

Wow, if she died aged 104, I doubt anyone would remember her parents' names for the death certificate! Scratch that idea!

there is another elizabeth Brnt also living at lake Traverse.
this one was born @1880, .
the sisseton Census for lake Travere dated 1 Apr. 1930 lists her at age 50, with:
Husband George Brant age 51
Helen Brnt age 16
Herbert Brant age 14
Norman Brant age11
Francis Brant age 8
I will have to list this Lizzie as No 2.
Ancestry has Elizabeth Brant No2 being born in Minnesota.
the south Dakota ideath Index just lists the person, the date of death and county of death.

My dad's sister lived to be 112 yrs old in Greece. she had a daughter in heearly 90's that gave the information on her death record. the Greek newspaper did interview with her when she was @ 104-106. she attributed her long life to drinking a coupld glasses of Ouzo(Greek white Lightning) every day and walking @ 20miles a day. she said she only needed glasses to read and see, but felt good. otherwise. with that much Greek Lightning, in her, Idon't doubt she was feeling no pain. hahaha
