Ok you cleared up a lot of confusion on my part. Frank and Joseph are brothers. and I think Frank Jr. had a son, Joseph, that died rather young in MT. Does this sound right? I'll check with his relatives. And why is there unknown in front of Tasinahotewin? Does that indicate that date of birth is not known? vmarier

I can only guess at whythe word Unknown is with the name. I think it is because the searcher couldn't find a first name like sarah, or mary or whatever. As for Rosalie, I don't know what to tell you. That is the name that I found in the Tree that was posted at www.rootswweb. they maybe the same person.

There is a Tasinahotewin, whose first name was Martha, born @1840-1845. She was the second spouse of James Redwing aka Oyemaza. She and James had a daughter Hanyetumazawin aka Mary Redwing. Mary wed Joseph Crows and they hd a daughter Rosa Alice Crow. James Redwing was a son of Wakute and Hadancutakowin, his first spouse
I am beset now. with a puzzle as are several of my friends re. the name Tasinahotewin. There is also a Tasinahotewin who married a Frand Jondreau and they had a son maned Moses. This Tasinahotewin died and is buried at Hill Church Cemetery in SDakota.
Then we have the Tasinahotewin that was married to Francoise langer/Longee(see above). She was born in 1820/1821 and died @ 1905. They were married in 1837, when she was @ 16 years old, and Francoise was 19 yrs old, and they had 10 children, of which one was named Joseph. Sometime @ 1857 Francoise made a deposition in which he stated that he alone with the children.
Now yesterday, I was told that a friend received information which " indicated" that Elizabeth Hakewaste aka Winona pazi aka winona pazi aka Anpetuwakanwin may be the Tasinahotewin that was also married to Francois langie/Langer.
The "source" of the information indicated that she was baptized twice- 1863 at mendota, and again at the prison in 1864, by REv. Riggs. In addition, Elizabeth allegedly had a son Jacob Wilson at the Davenport prison. Elizabeth died in 1905. Also Elizabeth had been maried before she wed Robert hakewaste-Wilson.
Iwould very much apprecite assistance via documentation or references that would help clear up this conundrum(puzzle). if anyone has Robert hakewaste's Probate and would be willing to share it with me, my email is dakounas@yahoo.com thanks much Update as of Nov. 3,2006 The riddle has been solved. Ellizabeth, Anpetuwakanwin did have a son jacob Wilson but by a previous husband Naiopte. She has never gone by the name Tasinahotewin. She was born in 1835 and baptized only once in 1863 at Mendota by Rev. T.S. Williamson. She is not the Tasinahotewin that was married to Francoise langer/Langie. what isinteresting though, is that she and Eli Abraham Sr. were 1/2 siblings: same father, but her mother was itewakanhdiwin.
