some time ago there was a discussiion going on at Oyate in re. to John b. cloud and his family. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find the lineof threads pertaining to this discussion.
Anyway, from that line of threads I copied down that one of his wives was anna aka Elizabeth Ipawagewin(sp.) aka Passing. She was born 1851 and died 1902, and that her mother was a woman named Kankukagewin(or Cankukagawin?) aka Cecelia St. Cloud. Ancestry and family search have nothing on the mother.
Also does anyone know if he changed his name to Marpiyasunka,or had that always been his name. did he change his English name to John B. cloud or was this what he went by?
I appreciate anyinformation you can provide.

The obit is so hard to read. Is there any way to get a better copy? Or can someone type it out as is and post that. I might be able to find someone who can translate. Thanks

Could you tell me where you found the Bourcier baptisms? Were they in Canada? I would love to see them too.
