Hi all, I am hoping that someone may have run across some of these names.
Bear Woman
Mattie Shaw or Fire Thunder
Amberson Shaw
John SHaw
George Fire Thunder

Hi Jimmy.
I got some of the names mixed up,
It is George Bear
Edgar Fire Thunder
Mattie is supose to be the mother of JOhn Shaw, They are buried at Ascension Chapel Cemetery just west of Millboro, SD. Although she is listed there as Bear Woman.
JOhn's father was Ambrose Shaw (I think)
MAttie or Bear Woman later was the wife of Fire Thunder and had Edgar.
She was also married to George Bear,
That's about all I know. Except that they are suppose to be somewhere in my family tree, bu t not sure where. THanks!

I have a Levi Shaw, born in 1911 on the Rosebud Reservation, who later married into my family. I don't know who his parents were though.

hyland: start with tyour parents and work backwards on your family tree. do this for your father 's side and also for your mother's side. This should help you find whrer the Shaws and Fire Thunder fit in.

Hermin 1 Thanks for the suggestion, I have already traced my part of my family tree back to the 9th century. These are people who may be shirt tail relatives. I am trying to find some of their descendents as I am compiling information to have about people who are buried along side of my direct relatives. So when future generations want to know who each person is and how they are related the infomation will be available for them.

Hey there missy  ;D...Long time no c or hear eh. lol Edgar Fire Thunder can be found on the Pine Ridge roles. I have some information. I think he is the brother to my great grandmother mother Angelic Fire Thunder-Cuny. They had land over there in the Martin area so it could very well be that some of them are in Rosebud. I would love to hear what info u may have... ur cuzin, wazi ;D  |

hey there wazi, where and how the heck have you been? I missed you. I gave up trying to find out about Itekagawin's mother. I doubt that her probate records would have nayinformation on her parents. We know that Tateimbobdu was her father, and Maggie tuttle-Taylor-Trudell was her half sister. Oh Well. you find some , you lose some.

Hey there Hermin, Life has been very mobile for me, almost became tradish with my nomadic ways  ;D(LOL). I am now at Rockyford School in Porcupine SD. I live there also. I finally got my DSL goin so im back on line. Im getting settled again, so guess what? My genealogy files r starting to see some sunlight (Woohoo-LOL). My new # is 605-455-2023. By the way what exactly was u lookin for on Martha? Just to see who her mother was? I will make a note to look in those files. Jesse Shaw and Emily had their family in Mission Rosebud Indian Reservation. Jesse died at a young age (50) from heart attack. there were I think 10 children, Ellen, Levi, Angelica, Charles, Clemet,Martha, Emily, (Billy)William, can't think of others right now. I believe one died. My Father Charles went to live with his Grandfather Dallas Shaw after Jesse died. Rev Dallas Shaw raised Charles. I dont believe Emily Shaw ever remarried. My Father and Rev Dallas Shaw lived in Allen South Dakota. Rev Dallas Shaw was an Episopalian Minister there until he died. Dallas Shaw is buried in Ellen South Dakota.

Levi Shaw is my Father's brother. The family lived in Mission South Dakota. Where I believe the remainder of the Family now lives. They are well known there. Levi's parents are Jesse Shaw and Emily One Feather (I think). Emily lived in Mission the remainder of her life, she never remarried (I think). Rev Dallas Shaw is the Grandfather of Levi Shaw. Dallas lived in Allen South Dakota. Dallas Father is
