Hey, I am going to White Horse, SD to get ancestors info etc. I have been at that cemetery and will visit and place flowers on the graves of some of my ancestors. I know where Rev. George Whipple Pay Pay is buried and so I will look at her grave also. I will ask about her and see what I can find out from the elders. nelliesimon@yahoo.com (775)397-2521 I will be back on Sunday May 20th in the pm Does anyone else need anything from Cheyenne River?

I am sorry I don't know when she was born. I can only guess @ 1870-1872. She was the wife of James C. PayPay, and after they left the hampton institute,in the 1880's, They lived at White Horse with their 3 sons. James's adoptive father , George PayPay was a minister there at White horse for a number of years. thanks much, hermin1

scaraem: Here is what I was able to find at ancestry for Louise White Horse born @1880(1879). 30 June 1892 Cheyenner River Agency Census lists her at age 12 yrs. parents: Charles White Horse, Mother: Jennie White Horse siblings:Daniel 2 yrs old. @ adopted orphans listed also: Mary Little Wound,Age11, amd Rose Little Hair age 5. do you know if she ever got married, or changed her surname to white? the 1902 cheyenne river agency Census Lists other siblings: Josephine age 13, and Dora 9sorry i forgot to look at her age). Her sibling Daniel was still alive, as were her parents. jennie died sometime between the 1902 and 1910 Indian Census , as charles is listed as widower, and living by himself . Hoep this helps you.
