Marpiya Masa has two wives,, sisters, the last is barren, the first has Marpiya Duza(32 or 36), Nate homini(wica, 22), Wakakanhdi(wica),winhake(wici),8), Izate Tawka(wica,6),wica by Morpiza DusaApril 1851, has one boy 3. She was taken in 1853 by Morpizahin." ____________________ ....." Wakute , chief, his first wife sister to Marpizaincoxto( the Chief of Oak Grove band). His second wife is sister to Wakanhditea and mother of five children. Another boy born July,1851. The first wife has eight children living." _______________________________- page 856 " Oea Maza(Wakute's son) maried Vurrronkaninajin's daughter , Septe. 1851 ......Maza Ojanjan ,Wakute's son, has wide , and they have 4 children,Wasuwaxte win(* yrs), wica(6),wica(4), wica(2) + wica born 1851".
The above excerpts were taken from the census of John Felix Aiton 's census of the Red Wing Band in 1849( of the Minnestoa Territory)at RedWing,Minn. that he listed in an account book he ket at RedWing during his tenure there. the entire article including the census, and Historica(he explains relationships in Wakutes band)
