Okay I am curious as to how many Dakota women where given the name Tate. I would appreciate everyones help on this. If there is a Tate in your family would you please list her vital statistics and who she married, and their children. Oh yeah and where she lived.
Thanks a bunch,
wazi

I have yet to see a one in Sisseton Records or others that I have come across. Unusual in that there is no win at the end. -side question, do you think that when there is non at the end of a womans name it means anything? I sometimes find that some women go by a name of their father or family when that happens. Or those testifying or whatever, dont know the other part of her name..

Tamara that is my fault, I didn't put it there. I figured since I mentioned she was a woman I didn't need to put the win on her name.
So I guess I am looking for Dakota women with the name Tatewin.
How's that? ;D

I have a Tate that was married to Kangisapa. I do not have dates of birth. The are the parents of Mary Marpiyotawin Saul. Her Husband was John Saul. Mary was born 1941. Kangisapa is also listed as the father of Rev. Rogers at Flandreau but is mother is listed as a Mary.
Tate when listed does not have the win at the end of her name.
