Hello, I am wondering if any one out there has seen or know of the following people: 1. Itina – Benson, ND 2. Big Plume – Buffalo, SD 3. Peter Dancer – Charles Mix, SD 4. Splits – Buffalo, SD 5. Edna Packard – Lyman, SD 6. Ida Boyer – Washabaugh, SD 7. Vitel Boyer – Washabaugh, SD 8. Can’t Break – Todd, SD 9. Poor – Mellette, SD 10. Horse Comes in Sight – Mellette, SD 11. Yellow Cloud – Todd, SD 12. Henry Zizi – Charles Mix, SD 13. Edward / Hehaka / Bates – Charles Mix, SD 14. Albert Bates – Charles Mix, SD 15. Big Plume – Charles Mix, SD 16. Louis Jandron or Tamahpiyakohpapi – Charles Mix, SD 17. Wis Apa – Charles Mix, SD 18. John Towakankinyan – Charles Mix, SD 19. John Dowanku – Roberts, SD 20. Benjamin Dowanku – Roberts, SD 21. Warpetonwin – Roberts, SD My Parents rec'd some papers in the mail and these names were on the lists. I have heard some of the names before but I don't know anything about them. sandyh if you start your research with typing the names in your preferred search machine (i did google), there is some stuff coming up. f.e. Peter Dancer is buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Greenwood, SD. Edna Packard had land, so there must be a Probate. Louis Jandron is searched after on a Jandron message board. I didn't try all the names you posted, but this is usually how i start looking for, and eventually finding, hints. they might lead you to more information. hope this helps a little bit.  arduinna |

Sandyh I know about Itina in Benson county ND, i can tell you that he was married to wicanhpiwastewin (goodstar woman) they had 6 children but three died in infancy the three living were Jerome Nakpagi, Sits Laughing, and Drinks Up. I will have to dig out the probate to get all information or i can send you a copy of it if you would like. just let me know

Let me go through my paper files and get back to you on this one. I have a few things on Carpenters. My Grandmothers maiden name is Carpenter, her Father wa Jay aka James Carpenter.
I will get back to you on this one.

Hello SandyH, I see Yellow Cloud on your list and I have research him for the last 6 years. My wife is a Yellow Cloud and I posted his tree this morning. I will share anything I have on him and would love to have a copy of your papers. Thanks, Ray

the persons who are from roberts County ,SD Loook in the sisseton Censuses(Index of Census Lists at ur website)
The one s from buffalo County; look for them in the Crow Creek Censuses also on our website
the ones from Charles Mix, Sd look in the Yankton, andUpper and lOwer Brule censuses.
i will look and see what I may have on someof thesenames.

Sandyh I have the name Packard in my family tree, also the name Jandreau, but not quite sure what the connection with Jandreau's is, would like to try and help you with what I have. |

On the list is Poor, he is a brother of Yellow Cloud. I received his probate this morning. Horse comes in sight was married to Poor. Would it be possibel to get a copy of what you have? Thanks, Ray

rayhenry: I don't know for certain which tree it is, but Jimmy posted some of the Family Trees done by Fr. madlon on our website. Look for family Trees(subheading of onoe fo the sections of threads. the trees are big so you will have to download the tree , open inyour Photo-editing program, and do several croppings and printings of the croppings, then piec it together. I think you will find some of the names you are looking ofor on one or more of the trees.
