::)Kanyatuduta (? - 1867) aka Scarlet Crow. Served as a scout for the US Army during the Sioux Uprising In Minnesota. A delegate to Washington to protest the removal of his tribe from Minnesota to South Dakota. He was kidnapped and then murdered when a ransom was not paid by the Indian Commission(R 22 S 76). He is buried in the Congressional Cemetery in Washington. (Reference: http://www..congressionalcemetery.org) He may be the person that also went by the name kangiduta(but I am not sure), was married to Tateahanhiyayewin, and he may also have gone by the English name ,Samuel Adams. If he isn't, then there is another Native american that was named Kangiduta.I haven't been able to find anything on this Samuel Adams as yet at Ancestry.
Red Crow aka(Mekasto) was born in 1830 at Belly River, south of the present city of Lethridge. His father was Chief Black Bear. In his youth Red Crow was known as White Standing Buffalo. He succeeded his father as Chief in 1870. His wives were Singing First and and Spear Woman. Red Crow drowned Aug. 28, 1900, while crossing the St. Mary river. His adopted son, Crop Eared Wolf succeeded him as chief, of the Kainai people.
