i know this name is not on the census of 1886 or 1889 but does anyone know any info on margaret strikes the ree or winona or first cloud, born around 1820s near browns valley mn. her parents were hit him in the middle and rattling hail. appreciate any info.

what a coincidence,mona. YIf you can get access to Ancestry.com at your local library, you will find both of those names first cloud and strike him in the middle there,in so far as Census records are concerned. I can't access the actual census records , because the subscription to Ancestry for the Censuses expired. I know Iran across these names when I was looking for someone else, when the subscription was still active.

margaret's name was margaret strikes the ree, not struck by the ree. i don't believe she was related to chief struck by the ree of the ihanktonwan band. i found some info that margaret was born around browns valley but ended up at crow creek. her parents were hit him in the middle and rattling hail. i've seen rattling hail at yankton (i'm sure) but don't thing they were the same. i was just trying to find more out about her, if she had any siblings or other relations. i do know she was first cousin to chief bone necklace.
