Has anyone seen this name before. The only thing I know about her is that she is on the 1874 and 1875 Wapasa band listings. According to the one Peacekeeper posted there is a notation that she is Nomondi's sister.
Any information on Nomandi would also be helpful. I do not know a English name for the Nomodi that was married to Lucy Tiyopa, but their son also used the name Nomondi and he is Samuel Thomas.
Does anyone know what their names translates to?
Any information on these people would be very helpful.
Thanks
Dawn

Ite=face
tahin=buffalo or deer hair
heya=to say that
he'ya=a louse or lice
lousey hairy buffalo face woman or lousey hairy deer face woman
hairy buffalo/deer face said that woman.
Nomahdi I am wondering if this name is misspelled...
Nahmahdi?
Nahma means to hide or conceal
hdi describes a movement of striking down.
Nahmi'ha means to laugh slyly.
Hopes that helps.
