Has anyone come across this name. Itokan gave birth to my great grandfather George Campbell on March 1, 1846. Her name is listed on the baptism from St Paul's cathedral as Louise Deschamps. It is the only time I have ever seen her name. All other records show George living with his fathers family. There never is any mention of his mother.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

This marriage took place at St. Gabriel's Crawford County Wisconsin. So this Louise became Louise DesChamps. Take a look at the website Barbara. I think the dates coincide.
