Can someone help me find the baptismal records done by Reverend Thomas S. Williamson? He baptismed my GGGrandmother, Nancy Anpahdiwin/St. Clair in 1831. Sherwyn

John P Williamson's memorandum can be purchased at the SDHS for 30 sum dollars plus shipping and handling.
Thomas Williamson's records I think are in Minnesota....some of his records are the MNHS I am wondering if his church records would have stayed in the church he stayed with. I am looking for those records plus the mendota baptismal records of 1862 ( am sure there are many out there looking for these also).

I am from the yankton rez and belong to the presbyterian church. i believe Hill Church may not be active. The church overlooks the missouri river valley and is very serene. I don't know where records from this church, from my church in greenwood and the one at cedar are located. there is records of rev. williamson as being here at our churches. i too would like to have information on his baptismals.

According to the book, "Old Betsey...." byMark Diedrich , he says that possibly Betsey had twwo other daughters, one who married Many Hails which I found to be Mary Payah, and one who married Round Wind, which leaves Anpahdiwin(Appearing Day) aka Nancy St. Clair. round Wind, the spouse was pardoned on Dec. 25,1862. But he did not go to the prison in Davenport. He and his spouse along with others in Old Betsey's family, were among the 40 families that went to live on Alex. Faribault's land at Faribault,MN, I believe in 1863. Have you checked the Catholic Archives in Dubuque, and at Faribault, MN?
It is possible that she may have converted to Christianity as an adult, in which case she was confirmed like Taopi and others by Bishop Whipple. In which case the records would be in Episcopal or Presbyterian church records of the Minnesota missions, at th MNHS if she went the Catholic route, she would have to have been baptized. In this case, you should also look with the Catholic Histoical Society of St. Peters.

Anpahdiwin apparently moved from Faribault, MN @ 1866/67 to Santee Reservation in Nebraska.
