I have a book on Scarlet Point or Inkpaduta. I glanced through it and it does list the members of his band that sign in 1855. I will check it out and post it if you like.

ONE WHO IS THOUGHT TO HAVE FLED SLEEPY EYES; BAND WAS A SISSETON SIOUX CALLED SINTOMNIDUTA OR ALL OVER RED. HE WAS ALSO KNOWN TO THE WHITES AS CHIEF TWO FINGERS AS HE HAD LOST THE REMAINDER OF HIS HAND IN BATTLE. HE WAS IN FACT A BROTHER-IN -LAW TO SLEEPY EYES. SOME HISTORIANS SAY THAT AFTER WAMDISAPA'S DEATH, SINTOMNIDUTA BECAME CHIEF OF THE OUTLAWS WITH INKPADUTA SECOND IN COMMAND. THERE MAY HAVE BEEN INTENSE RIVALRY BETWEEN THEM FOR LEADERSHIP OF THE BAND, AND RESULTANT ENMITY. ON THE OTHER HAND, THERE WAS EVIDENCE THAT THEY WERE CLOSELY RELATED, PERHAPS EVEN BROTHERS, A MATTER MUCH DISPUTED BY IOWA AND MINNESOTA HISTORIANS.

IN 1849 MINNESOTA BECAME A TERRITORY AND GOVERNOR JAMES RAMSEY ITS FIRST TERRITORIAL GOVERNOR. ONE OF HIS FIRST OFFICIAL ACTS WAS TO RECOGNIZE AND DECORATE THE HEREDITARY CHIEF OF THE WAHPEKUTES, WAMDIYAKAPI OR WAR EAGLE SEEN BY ALL. HE WAS A YOUNGER SON OF TASAGI AND HIS FELLOW BRAVES CHOSE HIM FOR THE HONOR. GOVERNOR RAMSEY DESCRIBED HIM AS A YOUNG FINE LOOKING, INTELLIGENT INDIAN..

THE CHIEF OF ONE WAS WASSEBOBEDO, AND THE CHIEF OF THE OTHER WAS INKPADUTA. THE LIQUOR SOLD QUICKLY RESULTED IN A DRUNKEN FIGHT BETWEEN THE TWO BANDS IN WHICH A BROTHER OF INKPADUTA WAS KILLED AND WASSEBOBEDO BADLY INJURED.

IN 1854 LOTT WENT TO THE CAMP OF THE SIOUX CHIEF AND UNRECOGNIZED, PRETENDED FRIENDSHIP. HE TOLD THE CHIEF THAT THERE WAS A LARGE HERD OF ELK NEARBY ON THE RIVER BOTTOM. THE CHIEF WELCOMED THE NEWS AND SET OFF TO FIND THEM. LOTT AND HIS SON STARTED TOWARD THEIR OWN CABIN BUT THEN STALKED SINTOMNIDUTA AND SHOT HIM DEAD AS HE RODE BY ON HIS PONY. THEN, DISGUISING THEMSELVES AS ENEMY INDIANS, HE TOLD THE CHIEF THAT THERE WAS A LARGE HERD OF ELK NEARBY ON THE RIVER BOTTOM. THE CHIEF WELCOMED THE NEWS AND SET OFF TO FIND THEM. LOTT AND HIS SON STARTED TOWARD THEIR WON CABIN BUT THEN STALKED SINTOMNIDUTA AND SHOT HIM DEAD AS HE RODE BY ON HIS PONY. THEN DISGUISING THEMSELVES AS ENEMY INDIANS, AND WAITED UNTIL NIGHTFALL, WHEN THEY RETURNED TO THE TEPEES AND GAVE THE WAR CRY. SINTOMNIDUTA'S WIFE, AGED MOTHER, FOUR CHILDREN AND TWO ORPHANED CHILDREN LIVING WITH HIM FLED FROM THE TEPEES TO HIDE THE TIMBER WHERE THEY WERE CRUELLY BUTCHERED BY LOTT AND HIS SON.
MAJOR WILLIAMS " .. AFTER THIS MURDER, THE INDIANS BECAME VERY SULLEN AND DISTANT AND VERY INSOLENT.
ALL AVAILABLE EVIDENCE INDICATES THAT SINTOMNIDUTA'S LEADERLESS BAND REUNITED WITH INKPADUTA'S BAND AT THIS TIME.
