Xavier Frenier data should be in the Archives Section of our website.Look in the probate Data for the Freniers. as for the others, I don't know how many times we have asked you people to please include some vital data on the persons you seek, and any other information (ie. where they lived wherethey were born, etc.) you can provide to help with a search.

I jus found a mention of fore tracks(mis spelling)at ancestry.com in the 1900 US census for Crow creel Ind. Res. buffalo,SD . if as your grandma says they are from Crow Creek. Then that is where you look.

Tamara, can you ask your sister in law if she ever ran across a Clinton and Elizabeth Frenier. Before they took on the Philbrick name they went by Frenier. Frenier shows in their marriage annoucnement and the announcement of their frist child. Clinton and Elizabeth were married in 1877.
Thanks
Dawn

Tamara, can you please send me a copy of the frenier family tree also. My grandmother was Louisa Frenier Campbell. She had a child with Thomas Williams, (my great-grandfather, Samuel Thomas) then she married Antoine Campbell. Any information would be much appreciated. My email is ndn_pride1@hotmail.com

Thanks Dawn She and I are going to go over records in a few days and we will look for the names. I have seen their names but will have to back track to see where. I do recall being a bit confused because they used the Frenier name and then seeing them as Philbricks. I run into the Philbrick line when working on the Lovejoy family. I will get back to you on what she might have them in a few days. Tamara

I am thinking I may bit a bit out of line in my response to Mona and stating that I am able to work with her "with out the specifics". I dont want my response to be interpreted by anyone requesting as a suggestion that the detailes in a request are not important. I do know that the researchers help so many people and that time is of the essence and this information makes their job so much easier. My response to Mona is only on Xavier Frenier and I have family informaiton in front of me. I probably worried unneccesarily, that if a person new to the board and not familiar with the structure, doesnt make their request correctly, they may feel discouraged from requesting in the future and from sharing what information they might have. It is not my intention by saying "with out the specifics" to devalue the set research request structure as I know the people who answer these requests value their time as much as we appreciate the information they share. Sorry for the delay in sending the Frenier tree. I am reviewing the posted information by Hermin1. If anyone else had any trouble finding it by searching it is listed on this board under Freniere Probate Data. I was searching with Frenier as in this thread... (duh!) I should have known to search with the other known spellings. I did have a question on Mary Frenier. My sister in law tells me that the Mother of Xavier/Pejuskuya (sweetgrass), Mazasnawin or Rosalie Frenier, Louis Frenier Sr, Narcis Frenier or Maga, Nape or Rosalie Frenier, Angelique Rousseau and Josephine Frenier, is not Mary Garvie. My aunt tells me via phone that in the file she has there is a letter that states that the Mary Freniers' information had been terribly mixed up at some point and caused great confusion. I mention this as a caution for all who are working on this family. It is my understanding that Mary Garvie is the Mary listed in this section.
#3 Louis Frenier Sr, died about 70 years ago, age uncertain. Wife, name not known. Issue 1- Louis Frenier or Rewanke, died April 5, 1918 age uncertain 1st wife, name not known issue all died small, before their father 2nd wife, Mary Frenier (Santee, Neb) living issue none
My sister in law has another page I did not get a copy of that states this clearer, but I do not have it at this time.
If anyone knows this information to be incorrect please let me know, as I have struggled with the Mary's Xaviers and Josephines.
Tamara
