I couldn't find Mary Paypay's probate, and am thinking it may be because she died before George Paypay, and thus didn't have any land allotted at Santee. I couldn't findher on any of the land allotment lists for the Santee Siouxs either, but if she was living in Minnesota before she died, surely therewould be a probate for her there, wouldn't there? I know on the 1885 Mdewakanton Enrollment Census, she is listed as not having any land. Has anyone thought of looking for David Wilson's probate, since Julia and He were living up there at sisseton?

I am still looking for any records of family trees with Anpetudutawin her English name is Josephine Red Day. She is listed on an early S/W Census her number is 361. She is my great-great Grandmother. She was married to Andrew DeRockbraine, they lived in Yellow Medicine and had their children there. We have two baptismal records of two of the children, Antoine and Maria. We have a military discharge paper of Antoine DeRockbraine stating that he was born in Yellow Medicine and was an Indian Scout. If anyone could help us with some family trees or any documents we would greatly appreciate it. Her oldest child Charles was born 1859 and Antoine was born 1870 at Yellow Medicine. Thanks! derockbraine1

Anpetusa
Allottee number 132
father of Abel, David, William, Albert, Moses and Mrs Thomas Crawford, husband of Wastewin.
This information comes from a Sisseton historian's information taken from an old family land document. I do not have this document to share but someday hope to see it. I think there has been much work put into it and the allottee numbers jive with the list of allotted persons from the sisseton reservation.
