I understand from the Campbell family that they have nothing that shows Mary Moore with that name. Their family papers show her as Askapewin. I think they also show her as Mary Fairbault. Does anyone know if on the Iron Elk probate it shows her father Oliver Moore and her with her maiden name? I think the goal is to tie her to Oliver Moore or even the Moore family as they see nothing in their stuff to show it. They are aware that they need only connect to her as she is on the census and her son Henry Flute is as well, but they wish to have something to document her family and maiden name. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Tamara PS I did not see her on the original microfilm of 1886 but am now wondering why we have not been given or directed to the original 1886 list as it has the indian names and could be incredibly helpful. I see that Hermin1 had transcribed and posted some of it but am thining I might try to scan the copies I have been given of it. I am sure I am missing the last page but hope to beg and work tirelessly for the rest of it.

Tamara: that so-called 1886 Census was actually done in 1885 and was undated. The special agent submitted it in 1886 to Washington, as "1886 Census". the Minn. Hist. Society has all the Censuses from the Nara on Microfilm, pertaining to the Dakota Siouxs and the Chippewa in St. Paul. You can borrwo them opn Intralibrary loan.
