Does any one have any information about a Susan Brant. She was to have been raised by Julia Oldman.
Her mother Hupahu told Julia that her son Wakinyanto was the father to Susan, so Julia raised her. A Daniel Cetanmani also felt he was the father to Susan.
Any information would be helpful.

There is a Susan Brant in the Sisseton Records and her name appears to be Sagyemazawin #1338

Here i what I have on susan Brant aka Mazatopawin aka Susan Johnson Age 39 Full Blood(1902 Reg. Santee Ind. Fam.)
Parents: Robert Hakewaste, and Hupon-dead
spouse 1: Frank Johnson. They had a son Charles Webster aka Charles Johnson,Age 18 full blood.
spouse 2: James Brant and Susan were married June 30,1892 at Santee.
Dawn,did you check out the Santee Agency Baptismal Register? susan was born @1863, which would put her birth at either MN or SD
