I aim searching for any and all information regarding Julie Cavender Goodteacher, Oyedutawin (Baptised Isabella) and Joseph Graham. I appreciate any and all help regarding these relatives. :D

I found a baptismal record in the Santee Agency Baptismal Ledger page 97, for a George Goodteacher born 1830 at Flandreau,SD and baptized at Mendota in 1863 . the parents listed were Oyedutawin and Yajopi. Rev. S.D. Riggs performed the baptism.

Would you or anyone be able to assist me with Julia Goodteacher (married Ray Cavender), and Oyedutawin and Yajopis? Oyedutawin was baptised Isabella Oyedutawin. This is the best site and your help is so much appreciated.

Also, looking for baptismal on Fannie Cavender, married Sam Allen, daughter of Julia Goodteacher and Ray Cavender.

If Oyeduta was baptized at Mendota where is that? In Minnesota and is there a church name on the record?

Some one told me Oyedutawin meant Her red path woman. I spoke to an elder today and he said Duta was Red and Oye was comes so her name would be interpreted comes red woman.

jrdbird: I don't know that I can help you with re. to information on Yajopi and the spouse listed with her on George's baptismal record, because I believe they died before 1902.
I am a little confused, because you said that this Julia was baptized Isabella. I would appreciate it if you would please send me the source of your information, and also include dates of birth and baptism, and where the rite occurred, and who her parents were, before I can go any further on this search.

Hermin: Oyedutawin (Her Red Path Women) was the one baptised Isabella. Oyedutawin was married to Yajopi, and they are the parents of George Goodteacher. George was the father of Julia Goodteacher, who married Ray Cavender. We received our information from Paul Brill. We did find where Oyedutawin was baptized, she was baptized in Flandreau, however, she was baptized as an adult so the parents are not listed.
