I'm looking for when he was baptised and took the name of Henry M. Jones. Probably prior to coming to Santee. He married Hazaicuwin (Nancy Standing Soldier) there. Thanks!

Henry M. Jones and Nancy Standing Soldier were married at Santee Aug. 31, 1875(Santee Marr. Register).
His parents were katokan and Kate Jones,both Dead.
I suggest you go to the web site mentioned in the Baptism Request section of our web site and look through the Santee Registers that are on that site there. if you still can't find any baptismal record, then I recommend you check with Jackie Hahn.

I knew I had something more on Henry. His mother Tahupadutawin was a siter to Sophia Henry. she had other children, but many of them died, except for Henry, and siblings Solomon Jones and John Jones. Both sisters were daughters of George Huntkatanka Henry.
