I believe Kate Jones Was Nellie Jones Mother, Nellie Jones was Florence Trudell Mother , Florence is my Grandmother. This is all the info I have on Kate Jones, I was told she was Married twice, to two Trudell Brother's ?

There may be more then one Kate Jones. The I know about is the daughter to George Hutkatanka Henry. Kate was married to Mahpiyakatokan also known as Katokan. They had 4 children.
Solomon, Eli, Henry and John Jones.
Kate's brother and sisters were:
Wakahdiyotankakewin
John (Kawing) Henry
Wasupeta
John Henry
Tahupadutawin (Kate)
Wacangawin (Sophia Henry)
Wicihdezewin
Step brothers and sisters
Artemus Ehnamani
Radahnihdewin (Maggie)

Same father but different mothers. The mothers were sisters. First wife was Miniyokasnasnawin and the 2nd was Mahpiyasawin.

Hey thanks for sharing the info, the Kate that was my grandma Florence Trudell's Grandma is Tahupadutawin, Just found that out. Is there anything that you know about Tahupadutawin? What are her parent's names? Is George " Hutkatanka " Henry her Father?

I believe George Henry's name was Huntkatanka
Huntka=Bird
Tanka=Big or large or Great

Kates mother is Miniyokasnasnawin. I have not found a English name for her.
I also have a reference on a Mary Jones and she was Married to a James Jones and had a son named Samuel Milo Jones. I am not sure who Mary's parents are.

Looks like Sam Jones married an Agnes Eastman 1899 in Redwood MN. Witnesses were james J. Jones and Alexander Walker.
James and Mary had 4 Children, Samuel, Josephine Jones Westerman, John and Amelia Jones St. Clair.

James and Mary Jones are the parents of my gggrandmother Josephine Jones Westman (or Westerman). Josephine's Dakota name was Anpetuwin. Mary's Dakota name was Tukanimaniwin. Josephine was born at Crow Creek.
