My mothers name is :
Mary Jane Madison (maiden), adopted by George Madison, originally (Medicine Man), DOB: 04-20-1943, DOD: 10-15-1999 @ Rapid City, SD of natural causes, Cheyenne River enrollment #: 6854.
Her real father was:
Wallace Cook, whom died before she was born, also looking for any information on his ancestors. The Cook Name in Indian was spelled :
"Unwohanpi": which means what you cook with or something you cook with, this was the original name for the "Cook" name. Also a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.
Her mother was :
Lucille Ida Young, born in Yankton, Sd. In her life she married :
Lawrence Rufus Crow,Sr., @ Dupree, SD, his Cheyenne River Enrollment # CR-3734, the marriage was terminated by his death. She had nine children in her life. Lucille Ida Young (maiden), DOB: 11-02-1918, DOD: 05-19-1986 @ the age of 67. She was 4/4 Yankton Sioux, place of death: Rapid City, SD.
