Okay, this is what/whom I am looking for Phillip Websters' b.1847 Faribault MN, baptised Crow Crk 1863; Father Eyanpaha(no info); Mother Nancy Flute (Wamduskawin) her Father is Jonah Flute (no info on either); Anna Webster dauther of Phillip b. 1879 Santee NE; Baptised Holy Faith Santee 12/2/51881; several Mothers, those being Mary Webster, Jane Hoffman and Anna Wells. These ladies were found on the baptismal, marriage & death records of Anna Webster. This is a large request, but at a standstill and really could use your assistance. Thanks

Hi kunsi9, I need to correct you on something here. Nancy Flute(Wamduskawin) was the wife of Jonah Flute...not his daughter. They were the parents of Rev. John S Flute. He is my husband's gr grandfather. Thier other children were Zacery Flute, Joseph Flute(Oyeicasnamani) and Fannie Hopkins. Debbie  |

Philip Webster was known to have 3 spouses:
Tiskiskatewin whom he wed by Ind/ Custom. and ceremony. She died in 1883 on 19 September.
They had several children but only one living, Anna Webster-Redowl.
spouse #2? he lived with Rebecca Bell for three months, no kids resulted from the liason.
Spouse #3 was Julia Webster aka Wasteyadan. Married in Spring of 1888.
Philip died Mar. 26, 1913.Vines P. Mitchell was the son of Julia Webster. The father of Vines P., was Iyasamani,
former spouse of Julia.

Reference: 1880 US Census Moody County, Dakota Terr. lists the folllowing:
Jane Hoffman- Head of household, mother age 46 born Minn. parents born wiconsin.
Delena Thompson-mother to Jane Age 70 born Minn., parents born Minnesota.
Samuel Hoffman age 20- uncle, born Minn. parents born Wisconsisn.
This may help you:the 1887 Santee Census lists Samuel Hoffman, Jane Primeauz-sister, Lucy Primeaux niece, Mary webster-niece, Josephine Webster-niece and Sarah Webster aka Wakankana-niece.
A brother to Samuel was Eugene Hoffman.

Thanks for the corrections wazi & debbie. So was Phillip from another union of Nancy's and what is her maiden name? We have his father as Eyanpaha & Wicakadayomani.....any help here would be greatly appreciated. And, hermin1, you are awesome with all the assistance you provide, as is everyone else. Can't thank you guys enough!

Debbie: i was wondering about Fannie Hopkins?? i take it that she was married to a Hopkins? Do you knowif there would be a connection between Fannie HopKins and a Mary Graham Hopkins "----??Nagi"?

I have an 1880 US census for Moody,S.Dakota which lists:
Fanny Flute Age 48 widow, born Minn. parents born Minn.
Children: Thomas Flute age 22, born Minn, and Josiah Flute age 13, born Dakota Terr.

I don't know much about Fannie Hopkins other than she is on Jonah Flute's probate as his daughter. I can check the museum here in Flandreau and see if they have anything on her and get back to you.

Kit: Did you check the new web site that has the records of Baptisms,etc? there is I believe one ledger from a church at Flandreau. maybe there is a record of her there?
