I have noted the name in only the one story but will keep an eye out for the others. I have found it interesting, the name that is as necklace was horibbly misinterpreted for Feather Necklace to "feather in the ear".

I had a pretty good laugh earlier about a copy of a document from 1924 that pertains to an event in my family history and at one point last summer I dropped the file in a rain storm and some of the papers got wet and muddy. I dried them off and tried to flatten it out as best I could, it is all readable but much worn because of it. I later showed it to some family and I over heard them saying how amazing it was that I would have the originals!! LOL I decided to let them be impressed with my collection rather than know how casual I had been with copies of some hard to get documents! The value of the McLaughlin papers is what made me think of it. For those that dont understand yet, soon will, how amazingly generous Debbie is to share in this manner. My mother watches everything I research and knows what efforts I was going to have to make to see the McLaughlin Roll so when I showed it to her and told her how i came to be able to see it she said... wow, its like looking at a few hundred dollars at least! That is no joke and I want to thank you again, as I was able to pass on a page of it for a famliy that really needed it and it will make all the difference in the world to them. Thanks Debbie..

Tamara, I was more then happy to share the McLaughlin Roll with you any many others. But I can't take all the credit. It's through this forum and the generosity of all of it's members that I have come as far as I have in my search. If wazi had not chose to share this file with me, I wouldn't have been able to share it with you. It's the coming together of everyone on this forum and the sharing involed that has helped so many that would other wise be lost(like me!). So thank you to everyone on this forum for your countless hours of research and dedication to helping each others. And a special THANK YOU! to Jamie for keeping us up and running and for not giving up when times got rough. Debbie  |
