it would help me if you would please refresh my memory on this one. Because I do not recall posting that information. On the 1885 Annuity Roll, Tatieyoptewin is listed at age 60 as mother of A. Chaske

ida Wells aka Tunkuiceki'yenwin(sp), was the daughter of Bushman Chapman and Makotokeawin. Ida was the spouse of Samuel Wells. they had the following children: Helen Wells, sophia Wells, Stephen Wells, and Ezra Wells(born 1890). I have nothing on either of the other two names. My quesiiiiion is , is a. chaske on the 1885/86 Mdewakanton Census? What I mentioned above was the annuity Roll. there is a difference between these two.

wazi: I was wondering, is the win at the end of the female names, sometimes not pronounced in the name, and just there to denote that the person was a female?

Alfred Caske/Rock/Rocque is on the 1886 census. But his mother is not listed there, although she was listed on the annuity rolls the year before in 1885. Does that mean she probably died in '85 or before the census. She would be Ida Wells grandmother. She was listed as age 60 in 1885. How would I find this out what happened to her. Any help would be appreciated. His name is Alfred, I mistakenly wrote Albert above. Thanks.
